What is an Activex Control and Activex Component ?

3d scanner for small objects

3d scanner for small objects image
Q. please explain this two Or explain difference bettwen activex controls and components . Thanks .

Answer
ActiveX controls are software modules based on Microsoft's Component Object Model (COM) architecture. They add functionality to software applications by seamlessly incorporating pre-made modules with the basic software package. Modules can be interchanged but still appear as parts of the original software.

On the Internet, ActiveX controls can be linked to Web pages and downloaded by an ActiveX-compliant browser. ActiveX controls turn Web pages into software pages that perform like any other program launched from a server.

ActiveX controls can have full system access. In most instances this access is legitimate, but one should be cautious of malicious ActiveX applications.

ActiveX controls are components that add dynamic and interactive features to Web pages. With ActiveX tools, multimedia effects, animation, and functional applications can be added to Web sites. HouseCall, Trend Micro's online virus scanner is an example of the application of ActiveX.

ActiveX controls are typically installed with user permission. However, security measures can be circumvented. In some instances, ActiveX components in Web pages are able to run automatically when the Web pages are opened. Visiting users are also sometimes tricked into accepting unwanted ActiveX controls. The unauthorized installation and execution of ActiveX controls can open opportunities for malicious code to install components or to make modifications on visiting systems.

An ActiveX control is essentially a Windows program that can be distributed from a web page. These controls can do literally anything a Windows program can do. A Hostile ActiveX program does something that its user did not intend for it to do, such as erasing a hard drive, dropping a virus or trojan into your machine, or scanning your drive for tax records or documents. As with other Trojans, a Hostile ActiveX control will normally appear to have some other function than what it actually has.

This technology is used, among other things, to improve the functionality of web pages (adding animations, video, 3D browsing, etc). ActiveX controls are small programs that are inserted in these pages. Unfortunately, as they are programs, they can also be targets for viruses.

Can someone use this idea for cameras ? Please pass along and maybe it will evolve into something worthwhile !?

3d scanner reviews image
Q. Dear Reader,

I offer these ideas for your consideration. First a few comments.
In the 1980âs a type of computer program, known as an expert system, was developed to diagnose Meningitis after reviewing the symptoms of possible candidate patients. It was more effective than the doctors it was tested against ! It is, I think, reasonable to assume that many other such programs could and should be developed and made widely available to the public. This would go a long way in reducing health care cost and move us forward technologically speaking, as a species. Now to, how this relates to camera improvements.

First: It is a fact that many human diseases reveal themselves in human fingernails, toenails, and in the eye. I am suggesting that a digital camera, loaded with a well written program, probably a combination of expert system and neural network could be used to diagnose potential disease conditions. Simply, place your hand or other such appendage on a controlled surface, take a picture and analyze same. I am aware that this concept is very general but I offer it to you with the hope that you will give it fair consideration.
If successful this could open up exciting new markets for camera makers.

Second: I would like to see a camera that has a program that will determine the area of surface by simple taking a picture of it. I think this should be fairly straight forward if you were to use Pickâs formula for determining area.

Third: I would like to see a digital camera add a long exposure feature to itsâ list of features. Once again I think this should be doable by creating a program that tells the camera to take pictures at intervals and âoverlaysâ each picture, thereby capturing more light for each picture pixel. Of course, a motorized tripod could be used to capture astronomical footage. This technique should increase still picture quality by orders of magnitude !

Lastly: The Intel corporation recently announced an optical device that will be available soon that will be fast enough, I have read, to download a high definition movie in on second ! This will of course make USB obsolete. It would seem that one could use this tool to connect a camera to other devices such as a microscope, telescope, or any other âopticalâ reader and get excellent video and extreme data analysis. I hope to soon see this available to the general public.

I have posted these thoughts on the web. I hope these memes evolve and inspire others to create.

Thank you,

Mr. J
Thanks for your input Joe.

On item 1, please realize that many corporations have a vested interest NOT to create such a program, whereas, camera makers are in need of ideas that will allow them to compete with ever better cell phone cameras.

On item 2, The area idea was meant to be a quick fix to problems like , finding the area of a wall you might want to wall paper or paint. It would only be used for "good enough approximations.

On item 3, I was thinking more about the possibility of using the camera via long exposure to act as a substitute telescope. Each image captured would bring new light to the lens. A program would add this photon info, by laying each image on TOP of the prior image. The internal program could keep track of new information being picked up thereby allowing a simple camera to view deep sky objects, and vivid still photos.

If no one else has input I will give you the best answer. I just wanted to post these ideas somewhere, in the hopes that by creating a mem

Answer
1 - interesting idea - however i think it would make more sense to create some computer software and then tether it to an off the shelf camera - reducing costs over all.

2 - To determine the surface area, you would have to have a 3d model of surface, because otherwise it would not be able to take into consideration and bumps or groves, as these would just appear as a flat surface. i believe that there are laser scanners that can already do this. I think they use them to scan in the 3d sculptures that are created to create animations such as the ones produced by pixar.

3 - There is a product that does it, and infact you can do it yourself, if you take hundred of pictured of a scene from the same point, load them into photoshop, and merge them, it will create a huge image that is all of yours stitched together to make one. Google Gigapixel photo.

4 - Light Peak - the technology you are referring to most probably will make usb obsolete. Telescopes are already available with mounts that allow you to place an SLR on the back, and use it as a huge lens. And video microscopes are available, with electron microscopes being able to produce very detailed and highly magnified images. The data transfer speed is not the issue here, rather the resolution of the cameras.

Anyway, some interesting ideas.

Joe

What do you think of Richard Linklater as a director?

Donny

Dazed and Confused is probably my third favorite comedy film of all time, but I have barely seen any of Linklater's other stuff besides The School of Rock and Bad News Bears

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000500/#Director

it looks like him and Ethan Hawke have collaborated a lot too. so which of his movies movies have you seen and would recommend, and also rate and rank his films

Answer
He's one of contemporary American cinema's more interesting voices.

Linklater is, of course, very associated with Austin, TX, similar to Robert Rodriguez. Both of whom exploded in popularity on the festival circuit around the same time, Linklater with Slacker and Rodriguez with El Mariachi, both microbudget films made by clearly skilled directors. It's interesting to compare their careers since... Rodriguez, while talented in certain respects, tends to live inside his own ass. Awful 3D movies based on his children's whims (see, or don't see: Sharkboy and Lavagirl, Shorts) are perhaps his nadir. Linklater is also indulgent, but in more interesting ways, and he always brings the audience into his obsessive dreams. Whether it's mainstream comedy (School of Rock), an animated head-trip (Waking Life, A Scanner Darkly), a period piece (Me and Orson Welles), etc., his films always feel distinctly Linklater-esque, yet are also always accessible. It's a neat trick, I think. His films also tend to convey big, even confrontational ideas in a low-key, appealing way, as if he's shouting a message without cinematically raising his voice. This is certainly true of the last five minutes of A Scanner Darkly.

His absolute best achievements, however, are Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. They're just...cinematic bliss, in my opinion. He, Ethan Hawke, and Julie Delpy created two indelible characters who feel very specific yet also completely universal. And he let these characters wander through beautiful European cities while having extended, free-flowing conversations about sex, life, art, politics, family, etc. It's almost mind-blowing how much depth he finds in such simple form. Before Sunrise is a perfect portrait of the romance and terror of being young, and Before Sunset is a gentle, yet incisive autopsy of middle-aged regret and the eternal question of whether it's ever too late. Just fucking fantastic movies, man. They feel so -alive-, and they sort of changed my life, at least as a writer and as a moviegoer.

Did you read that CT scans put ADULTS & CHILDREN AT RISK I read that on a UPRIGHT_MRI search?

Answer
Actually there is a new type of CT that reduces the risk by 80 percent eventually these will replace the older models.

A new scanner has been unveiled which can produce 3D body images of unprecedented clarity while reducing radiation by as much as 80%. Monday, 26 November 2007

Im getting a MAC very soon and I wanted to know what I need software wise to help me out? I will be using a good camera and a good scanner to catch my comic shots. Anyone know any good programs for mac or any hardware to help me out?

Answer
There are any number of ways you can make a comic strip, from drawing it entirely with a pen or pencil on folded pieces of paper, to drawing it and then scanning and doing clean-up digitally, or doing the entire thing digitally. You can use any tools to string together sequential images in any way to make a comic. There are no rules, there are no limits.

If you're really interested in making a comic, you should definitely buy or take a trip to the library to take out Scott McCloud's "Making Comics." It's a great book and sequel to his "Understanding Comics" which not only goes over some of the tools and techniques of making comics, but deconstructs the concepts, theories, standards and practices of visual storytelling.

Best part is, the book about comics is a comic book itself!

http://www.kk.org/cooltools/archives/001441.php

Also, any Digital imaging suite like Adobe Photoshop can be used to make comics. Some free alternatives are Paint.NET and Gimp or Gimpshop.

http://www.getpaint.net/

http://www.gimpshop.com/

Kazu Kibuishi has a step-by-step tutorial on how he makes his webcomic, "Copper," on this site:

http://www.boltcity.com/workshop/copper_tutorial/

There are also some programs you can use that try to help making comics easier. Manga Studio is a popular choice for black and white comics. However, it's pretty pricey.

There's also TokyoPop's Manga Creator:

It's much much cheaper than Manga Studio, and easier to use. The dowside is that it has less features. It's up to you what you'd want to spring for.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/tokyopop-manga-creator-2

There's also Comic Book Creator 2, which is fairly cheap. Which usually means, easy to use but low on advanced features:

http://www.myplanetwide.com/products/detail/description.html?id=41

It's up to you to find out exactly what these programs can do and decide whether it's worth paying for that extra functionality.

If you're on a Mac, there's Comics Life. It should already be on your Mac, I think. If it's not, you can download a demo here:

I'm just curious about Adobe Illustrator, Adobe photoshop, or any other programs similar to those which help with 3D art and animation, allowing me to create visual effects. How exactly do they work? I just need to know before I go buy it and find out later that I don't like it.

Answer
definitely do further research, the range you're looking for from art, animation, illustration, images, 3d, and effects, may require more than one program, and suggest finding trial software for each,

for art theres corel painterX

What can I use to cast a mold from stone without hurting the stone?

disciple

I'm new to this, but does anyone know what medium I would use to make a mold from a stone. In other words, There is an old building with a beautiful design sculpted in to it. I want to copy this design. I know there is a material out there that I can press against the original design and make a mold of it and then cast the design in plaster. I just don't know what material I would use to do this without hurting the stone.... Help!!!

Answer
I think the sculpey or any clay will work. If you use normal clay, any residue left will dissolve in the next rain, just don't use brown clay on light stone... if you use water based clay you would have to cast your plaster into the mold while the clay is still wet.
As the clay won't be very stable just on its own, you should consider making a mother mold on top of that. That is a hard shell, which just gives support to the soft part of your mold so it doesn't deform. It depends on the size of what you want to copy if you need it. You could make the mothermold from plaster bandages, but don't put plaster directly on the stone.
Before you start, consider carefully the shape of what you want to copy and where undercuts are and where you have to put in parting lines. What technique you use for mold making really depends on the exact shape of what you want to copy. If the structure is something complicated, you may want to practice how to make molds from more simple structures first so you are aware what causes problems and get some experience in how to solve them.

Another completely contact free method is if you happen to be at a university where they have a 3D laser scanning camera you can borrow, you could use the 3D laser scanner then make a model of your structure in the computer from the scans. That you could print out using a 3D printer. that way you can scale the model to any size (though anything large will be expensive to print)

I'm looking for something similar to an overhead projector, but one that doesn't use transparencies. It's also similar to an opaque projector, but not one that only projects areas up to 6 x 6 inches! I need to show the whole 8.5x11 page (or at least most of it). I would also like something that shows 3D objects (like a text book or other object). My other requirement is that it works WITHOUT a computer or mounted projector (those that hook up to computers/TVs to enlarge). I need to use it just like those overhead projectors in classrooms years ago (and still today!)
Actually - I think it's a "document camera" - but I just need one that projects on its own without a TV screen or multimedia projector. Thanks

Answer
What you need is called an opaque projector if you insist on going low tech. I don't know if they are even made anymore.

A much better way is to just scan the pages and then transfer those images to PowerPoint and then display with a computer projector. Very easy if you have these basic items - scanner - computer - projector. I scan and display images this way all the time.

what are the complete list of input/output devices?? i need 25 each?

Answer
Your criteria was vague so some of these devices are in by technicalities.
input:
1. mouse
2. keyboard
3. camera
4. Scanner
5. game pad
6. drawing tablet (wacom) artist use
7. microphone (technically a headset with a mic falls under both)
8. finger print scanner
8. barcode scanner
9. light pen
10. midi keyboard musicians use
11. technically a laptop dolly ed to a computer or even another computer can remotely control a computer which would fall under both input/output
12. flash drives when reading
13. Scan disk when reading
14. external hard drive when reading
15. reading from dvd/cd/blu-ray disk
16. many used for medical procedures (ultrasound scanner)
output
1. speakers
2. printer
3. flash drives when writing
4. Scan disk cards when writing
5. external hard drive when writing
6. projector
7. monitor
8. tv
9. 3d printer
10. DVD/CD/Blu-RAY burned disk

Pretty much all I can think of.

Is it possible to take a 2d picture make it 3d and mold it around a figure? Any sized figure.
Is it possible to make a program that does all this automatically.

Answer
Sort-of. You can make programs that guess at the 3D, but there's no way to tell for sure; so most of these programs work terribly.

The way people do it in visual studios is they hire artists to recreate the scene in 3D from scratch. They don't use any scanners or automated systems, they actually hand-make it all in a 3D environment. I presume this is not what you want to do, but if it is, you can try out Blender, which is a good 3D program that's free.

A) Be sure you have at least 512 mb of ram. More may be overkill if you don't do a lot.

B) Use a good system cleaner like ccleaner, and make sure yoru startup entries are barebone, loading nothing except your antivirus, firewall, and messenger.

C) Use a good antivirus like AVG that doesn't hog system resources but has a nice and solid AV.

D) Use a spyware scanner like lavasoft adaware or spyboy search & destroy occasionally for scanning.

E) It really helps if your processor is at least 1.5 ghz or higher.

F) Get an ATI 2d/3d video accelerator. It can speed things up tremendously, especially working with video. More is better, but recommended you get no less than 32 mb for good performance.

G) In system properties, turn off everything under appearance except for using visual styles ( if you want things to be pretty), but if you just care about performance, uncheck that as well & use windows classic view.

H) Turn off windows updates, & if you have service pack 2, remove that as well, because MS never fix all the bugs, service pack 2 slows a pc to hell and breaks compatibility with many popular softwares.

I) Get a new harddisk, if your pc is older, the newer ones, (you want a 7,200 rpm or faster, as they can save and retrieve data over 2x faster than just a 5,400 one). I wouldn't select below about a 40 or 60 gig size, if you go too large, above 137, windows may or may not recognize it without somethig like maxtors free large drive fix.

J) If you dont use a background, it may make windows marginally faster, along with using black for your background.

K) If you have thousands of files, storing them in an external usb 2 drive will save you disk space and make windows substantially faster.

L) Turn off system restore, it slows things down. Some do not think it does, but system restore, in addition to doing it every 12 hours or so, depending on your settings, it does it for many popular apps when you install them such as media player 10. Over time, it can take many gigs of space and slow the pc down.

M) Use locate32 for finding files. It is free, finds files in a fraction of a second compared to over 15 min for windows when searching large drives, but may need you to undate its database before you start searching. Every time you mod or add lots of files, update it before searching, but it puts win search to shame, plus uses an easy interface similar to win 98.

N) Use startup manager from nirsoft. It is free, and not only checks for startup entries, but the entries show can all be deleted in mass, not just one at a time, plus it also shows all browser helpler objects. All browser helper objects may be deleted. Some debate about tea timer that comes with spybot search and destroy, or adobe but the truth is you can safely run your pc withotu any bho, as many do more harm than good anyway.

O) Google a free tool to stop prefetch. On xp, it needs to be cleaned out every so often. Some say it is harmless, but over time, when removing or testing large numbers of files, prefetch can get loaded with pointers to non existent files.

P) Remove things you dont need, such as windows messenger. Disable auto updater, turn off remote pc support, disable reboot on error, disable error reporting, turn off windows messenger spam service, disable grouping of taskbar items and hiding of system icons, turn off the rpc rebooting under all 3 of it's services.

Hope these helped. There may be others, but these should be more common ones that you can easily do with a bit of google.

Is there any way to get rid of shadows on a printed page?

I am scanning and copying pages that have 3D embellishments on them and I keep getting a shadow on the copy. I have tried holding the top of the scanner down to minimize it, and I've tried editing with the eraser, but there has to be an easier way.

Answer
Shadows are created from a light source.

So here is one guess as to why there are shadows. When you scan, there is a light that scans the item. So either you can, keep the lid all the way open. Or keep the lid open and put a cloth/sheet over the item, make sure you have this cloth tight around the whole item, inside any cracks etc..

To help not see the shadow at all, use a dark color (black) sheet.

Are there ways to make sketched anime into real anime?

Tamere

I want to be able to post my drawings on the internet and marvel at it. Also do u guys kno how to make animated anime scenes (like the opening) that'd be awesome!! THX!!! By the way I'm 12 and dnt have a university
degree or whatev (obviously....)

Answer
A scanner will help you get your drawings onto the internet. Photobucket is a good place to post them. Deviantart requires you to be at least 13 to post, but once you're 13, that is another good place to post as well.
To actually do animation, you need special programs for that. I don't know any free programs off the top of my head, but there might be some if you take some time to look around. Just for still digital art, GIMP is a free program. If you wanted a program for still digital art that wasn't free but not outrageously expensive, I would recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements. It's a bit more intuitive to navigate and use than GIMP. 3D Studio Max is a program that can handle 3D animation, but it's very expensive. I know I've heard there is a free program that can do pretty much the same as 3D Studio Max, but I don't know what it is off the top of my head.

Okay so I've decided that I want to get more serious about digital art than the cool yet limited app I have on my Nintendo 3DS... where's the best place to start?

Does everyone use photoshop, or are there special programs made just for artwork? I'm assuming there are, and if so which one would you recommend? I'm willing to purchase it if it's really good.

What would be the best drawing tablet to purchase?

Any other useful tips for someone wanting to start getting more into digital art?

Thanks in advance :)
By digital art, since I know that covers a ride range of things, I do not mean editing others photos or my own. I want to create things from scratch. I have a full sketchbook of things like portraits and landscapes, so I would like to continue that only... digitally. :)

Answer
Here are some things that might help you get started with illustration and design:

Free:
- Gimp (download, similar to Photoshop)
- Inkscape (download, similar to Illustrator)
- Lunapic (online, similar to Photoshop)
- Pixlr (online, similar to Photoshop)
- Blender (download, similar to Maya, a 3d design program)
- Autodesk Sketchbook Express (download, similar to Corel painter)
------> Autodesk software is available for free for students at:
------> http://students.autodesk.com/?nd=download_center

Paid:
- Photoshop (Photoshop elements is a cheaper alternative, it comes free with some tablets)
- Illustrator
- Corel Painter (you can get a free version of painter with certain tablets)
- Sketchbook Pro 6 (similar to Corel Painter)

Best drawing tablet: wacom intuos4 small (for beginners, try ebay for the cheapest). I've used wacom bamboo fun before as a starter tablet I was 100% disappointed and would not suggest if even as a starter tablet. There is a newer version of the intros, intuos5 but the new additions are really not worth the upgrade cost. There is a big difference between the 3 and 4 though so I'd go with the 4. The 3 is heavier, old, and clunky.

I use a tablet for everything and I noticed if you use it for long periods of time you might have wrist pain from your lower hand hitting a desk as you use it. What I use to save my hand is a thin glove without fingers. They are really cheap and normally around $2-3 for a pair. Sometimes I put tissues on the part of the glove that hits a desk for extra padding so I can use a tablet for many hours without having a bruised hand.

It sounds like you are interested in digital illustration. You might like Photoshop or Corel painter best. Illustrator is more technical and can be hard to be more free with. It is a great program but not the best for detailed illustration like landscapes. It is better for making things like logos, clip art. Both photoshop and Corel are pretty expensive for full versions but there is a big difference between the cheaper versions and the full versions.

Of all of the programs listed, Photoshop is probably your best bet, the full version, not elements. I wouldn't waste money on elements, I'd use it if you have a free copy from buying a tablet but it isn't worth buying in my opinion. Try out some of the free programs above if you can't get the paid version of photoshop. The downloadable ones are best for long projects because you could lose your work if you work online. I'd suggest Gimp and Adobe Sketchbook Express to start with. If you cannot get a student license for a free version of sketchbook, amazon sells it as Sketchbook Pro 6 for around $20-40 depending on who you buy it from. It is a larger version of the program with more options that is relatively cheap. A great option to Corel Painter if you don't want quite so many options (it sells for about $70 on amazon).

Other things that might help:
- a scanner
- a camera/phone for pictures of 2d art
- tripod for taking good pictures with camera
- Staedtler pigment liner markers (these are very expensive, roughly $10-15 for 4 but they are very good quality and should last awhile, great for inking drawings for good scans digitally)
- Prismacolor Turquoise soft pencils (for 2d work to scan, best pencils I've used so far, I've tried a lot of brands)
- Prismacolor Turqoise medium pencils
- Staedtler White eraser (I use these all of the time, and they are great! Best eraser I've used so far.)
- Staedtler white eraser pencil toppers (these are hard to find but also great)
- Zebra drift 0.5mm lead mechanical pencils (larger mechanical pencil)
- Pentel 0.7 mm lead mechanical pencil (regular mechanical pencil, my favorite kind)

Generally for 2d supplies, Staedtler, Prismacolor, Pentel, and Zebra are really good. My mechanical pencils are all japanese, they seem to be the best quality. I actually got them from a college book store that sell supplies for 5 for $1. Generally they are about $2-4 a piece though. Staedtler's stuff if German and known for high quality drafting supplies. Prismacolor is made in Mexico (at least the Turquoise pencils, they are very expensive but I've used the cheaper ones and they just aren't the same. Drawing smudge a lot with the cheap ones and aren't as dark. The cheap brands look 'fuzzy' a lot. The best place for most of these is either local 3rd party supply stores, not chains, or ebay. Amazon is pretty high with shipping.

Have fun! :D

Graphic Designers- What software do you use?

Q. What do you use your graphic design abilities for. Engineering, art, design, Fill me in thanks. I want to learn about this. DO you like the software? you can email me

Answer
My primary software applications are Photshop, for image manipulation and editing photos, Illustrator for creating original vector graphics and vectorizing my sketches, InDesign (formally Pagemaker) for page layouts, and Word for text editing.

Less often, I use Adobe Streamline, Adobe Dimensions, Dreamweaver and Flash Pro. I am also trained in QuarkXPress, for clients who insist on projects done in this format, and 3D Studio Max. I started off using the Corel suite of products, but I have not used it in many years.

For tracking my business, I use Excell and Quicken Books.

Do I LIKE the software? For me, unless the application can save me time and money, it is useless. As a freelancer, time really does equal money, and all of these products save me a LOT of time. I don't take the time to draw lines in Illustrator when a quick pencil or marker sketch can do the job. If a client is not willing to pay for an original illustration, I can pull out one of thousands of clip art images from disc. (there is an OLD commercial artist maxim that reads, "Never draw anything you can copy. Never copy anything you can trace. Never trace anything that you can cut out and paste down.") Not only that, a lot of the operations that I used to have to pay someone else to do, I can do for myself. (color separation, trapping, choking, text formatting, typsetting, etc) The cost savings contribute to MY bottom line.

For peripheral equipment, I use a graphics tablet, desktop scanner and inkjet printer. (for proofs and comps) For production, I take my files to one of several service bureaus for printing, binding, etc.

what do you recommend for my new Asus 10" netbook?

3d scanner download
on 3D model: Ultrasound scanner. $49.95 [buy, download]
3d scanner download image

Jay

I just purchased the new Asus 10" netbook and im looking to download some games like Plants vs Zombies. What do you recommend I do? Would it be wise to purchase a memory stick because it is 1Gb memory and 160 hard drive. Any help would be great. i downloaded the free AVG too. is there any other things i should download to be safe? thanks
thanks

Answer
It's a netbook and it wasn't design to run games. Maybe causal games like card or puzzle games. Not sure about your laptop specs, but read the system requirement for each game before you buy. Don't even bother with 3D or graphically intense games. You can't run them.

In addition to AVG, Avast, Mircrosoft and Comodo also off free antivirus software. Comodo also offers a free firewall + Antivirus package. I use Comodo pack as well Windows Defender along with a malaware scanner called Malwaresbytes as layered defense. I also use Firefox over Internet Explorer with their addition security extensions that keeps my computer safe when I browse the web.

Another nice program is called CCleaner which cleans up your hard drive by deleting accumulated files you no longer need to keep it up and running.

All of them are free btw.

Yes, it's wise to purchase a flash drive or memory card because a netbook doesn't come with a disc drive to store or upload data.

Good luck with your new netbook and have fun!

Have fun! :D
