What was that old show or movie with constantly morphing faces used as disguises?

Anthony

It was a 3D animated show or movie that came on late on ytv in the 90s.

Answer
U might be thinking of the 2006 richard linklater directed animated sci-fi/drama "a scanner darkley" it had scenes where characters would use a mask that constantly morphs their faces for a disguise. Look it up on imdb to see if this is the film u are looking for

Help me with 2D -> 3D CS5?

JD

Could anyone here on Answers link a tutorial or write a short guide on how to turn 2D nets into 3D shapes using either Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop? (both CS5)
I am quite the CS5 n00b :P
i have the nets - 6 sides
all i want to know is how to virtually fold it up and construct the shape on the computer

Answer
The true answer is simple: You CANNOT convert a 2D image into a 3D representation [full stop].
Photoshop, nor Illustrator, is good at that either: it tries to interprete a 2D image to "extract" the third dimension (the depth), but this is NEVER correct.
The only way to create a mesh (or a shape) in 3D is to use a 3D software (like 3DS Max), and use 2 2d images (ie Front and Profile) to recreate the 3D shape. Even this is not good enough: you do not have the "hidden dimensions" (the back, the other side!).
To TRULY make a 3D shape, you need 6 images (the faces of a cube), or use a 3D scanner...
