what is the best computer for designin 3d.
Im about to go for a mac but still dont know.

3d... I would go with a PC and Windows. Pick your programs and devices first and you will see that there is much more for the PC.

But BIGGER is BETTER. I would be getting a desktop with one or two really BIG LCD monitors.

But if you MUST, then get the largest screen laptop that is available. A nice HP would do the trick.

Which scanner for film and scanography ?

I need a scanner that can do 35mm film and slides, and also larger medium format film. i want to try and do some scanography so i need the scanner to have a depth of Field larger that 1 inch like most scanners ... oh and a 3d mode would be useful too.
i don't have a huge budget so i was thinking about £100 -£300
and i need the software to work for mac.

The epson V700 does 35mm (slide and negative) and also does medium format. It was just out of your price range when I bought it (so by now it's probably cheaper). Comes with software for pc or mac. Don't know about your other questions.
