what's that game called where you use the camera and control stuff on the screen?

bf was talking about some game he seen on a commercial or something... he said you use the camera and control stuff on the screen or something haha now I'm curious and wondering what he's talking about

It's called Kinect, it is a special camera for the Xbox 360 that can scan a room in 3D and read people's movements and translate them into gameplay for certain games. It scans a perosn's body to determine where critical points like their head, shoulders, hips, knees, etc. are, and then uses those points to determine how your body moves. It also has a microphone so you can control the Xbox with your voice, and even use voice commands in certain games.

The Kinect can only be used with certain games, some are Kinect only and can it be played any other way than with a. Kinect. A few can be played with a Kinect or a controller, and some use both at once, but hey only use the kinect's voice command system. Like if you have Skyrim or Mass Effect 3, you can use voice commands to switch between weapons, command your follower/squad mates and interact with things in the environment.

Okay, I know all about this new Kinect thing and it sounds pure amazing, just, how will we play shooting games?!? Anyone know?! I mean Im not even gonna get it with out shooting, I mean you are gonna need lots of room in your house to play then! :) any ideas?!

well, it probably will...I wouldn't doubt it to be honest. I mean, star wars was announced for it...And there are guns in there, not just the light saber. It reads your entire body as a 3d object using a 3d camera. So more then likely, it'll be able to scan the movement of your finger as if its pulling the trigger of the gun. As for running and such, you're supposed to just run in place, from what I have seen.
